The City Council have just gone out to public consultation with a proposed new Zebra Crossing on Southmead Road.

The scheme is live on the consultation website at: https://bristol.citizenspace.com/city-development/southmead-road-proposed-zebra-crossing

The scheme originated from requests by the Henleaze, Stoke Bishop and Westbury on Trym Neighbourhood Partnership (NP3) and the Horfield and Lockleaze Neighbourhood Partnership (NP4). If you have any comments, please send them to: highways.traffic@bristol.gov.uk by 5 October, or to the postal address given on the website.

One Response to Southmead Road: Proposed New Pedestrian Crossing

  1. Brian and Sheila Woodcock says:

While realising people living near to the proposed crossing will lose their parking spots, we do feel a proper zebra crossing would be safer than the present arrangement and is much needed – for bus passengers as well as school children.
