Save Westbury Library Campaign

Westbury Library

There are just a few days remaining for formal objections to be registered with Bristol City Council over their proposals to close Westbury library.

Therefore, objections will be considered “valid” right up until the Consultation’s closing date of 30 June. The easiest way to record your views is to complete the Council’s online questionnaire: http://www.bristol.gov.uk/sites/default/files/documents/leisure_and_culture/libraries/Bristol%20Libraries%20Questionnaire%20EasyRead%20for%20web.pdf

To be honest, the design of the Form is not particularly user-friendly, so please follow the advice given in this “Save Westbury Library” help sheet: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3746162/westbury%20libray%20leaflet.pdf  taking particular note of the information given on the second page of the link.

The Campaign held a very successful Protest March on 6 June and a YouTube clip (courtesy of Made in Bristol TV), can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePbrHfL3dv4

Finally, if you have already signed an online petition, this will count for NOTHING in the Council’s final analysis of their Consultation process. The only way to make your voice heard is to complete the Council’s questionnaire.
