Henleaze Forum

With effect from the local elections in May 2016, the Ward of “Henleaze” ceased to exist, as a result of the Boundary Changes proposed by the Boundary Commission in 2015. The majority of the “old” Ward was included in the “new” Ward of “Westbury-on-Trym & Henleaze”.

However, with the demise of the Neighbourhood Partnership (NP) structure, where the two Wards of Stoke Bishop and Westbury-on-Trym & Henleaze had been amalgamated to form NP3, one of the last actions of NP3 (in May 2017), was to agree to continue with the three individual Forums – at least on a trial basis for 12 months.

The first of the “new look” quarterly Forums for Henleaze was held on Thursday 7 September 2017.

Hello, I saw (I think in a local magazine) that the next meeting of Henleaze Forum was on Thursday May 24th, in Henleaze Library, but when I got to the library it had become a polling station and no-one knew anything about a Henleaze Forum meeting! I particularly wanted to know whether the Forum has any influence on traffic speed in Henleaze, as I find it very disturbing that most drivers ignore the 20 mph speed limits. I would be interested to know when or if there will be another Henleaze Forum meeting, and also do you have any advice about the traffic speed problem? Many thanks, Sue Black (Lake Road Henleaze).

Sorry about that but the bi-election took precedence over the date previously booked for the Henleaze Forum at Henleaze Library – such is life!
However, I can confirm that the rearranged date for the next Forum is Thursday 28 June, commencing at 7.00 pm, at Henleaze Library.
Any maters of local concern can be raised with our local councillors at the Forum.
