Local Community Small Grants for NPs

For the last seven years, small Local Community Grants (“Wellbeing Grants”) were available to deliver local projects in Stoke Bishop, Westbury-on-Trym and Henleaze.

Unfortunately, these grants have now been withdrawn by the Council, as part of their recent 2017/18 budget cuts.

Further details, such that they are, can be accessed on the Council’s website via this link.

Until the cuts were introduced, the NP’s Small Grants Panel was chaired by the Neighbourhood Coordinator and  during the five years, 2010/11 to 2014/15 the Panel recommended funding for a total of 118 projects across the whole NP –  with a total value of approximately £210,000.
During the financial year, 2015/16, the Panel recommended funding for a further 8 projects with a total value of £7,885.79. However, this spend was offset by a Green Capital Refund, owing to projects previously allocated Well Being funding being funded by Green Capital, resulting in a “Nett Spend” for the year of £3,809.79.

A small selection of the grants awarded can be seen on the NP’s “Achievements>Small Grants” page.
